What you believe about your gracious and loving Heavenly Father's plan for your life determines how you face tomorrow! If God took care of you yesterday, believe Him to do even greater tomorrow.
FEAR OF TOMORROW -
1. Fear is faith 'pointed' in the wrong direction.
A. Jesus said, "Have faith in GOD."
B. However, those who fear, believe bad is about to happen.
* Don't have more faith in a crisis than in Christ.
* Don't give more attention to trouble. Trust God.
C. Never point your faith in the wrong direction. Give it to God.
C. Never point your faith in the wrong direction. Give it to God.
2. Fear is fact 'projected' onto the wrong day.
A. Jesus said, "take no thought what for tomorrow."
B. Those who fear, make today's molehill tomorrow's mountain
* Fact: You may have a situation today, but God can fix it.
* Fact: You may know what you're facing now, but only God knows tomorrow.
* Fact: Fear tries to bring the 'unknown' tomorrow into today.
C. Never project facts onto the wrong day. Let God handle tomorrow.
C. Never project facts onto the wrong day. Let God handle tomorrow.
3. Fear is a force 'pinned' to the wrong destiny.
A. Jesus asked, "who can change one hair through worry?"
B. Those who fear, give fear power to limit their God-given destiny.
B. Those who fear, give fear power to limit their God-given destiny.
* Jesus was teaching that while fear is a force, it's a futile force.
* Fear has no power to change things for the better.
* Too many of us quit or turn to fear rather than trust God.
* Through fear, we choose a destiny that God doesn't design.
C. Never pin the power of fear to your life. Fight to believe!
FAITH FOR TODAY -
1. Faith is required in the moment.
A. When Jesus says, "Have faith in God," He mean't have it constantly, now and forever.
B. Those who have faith for today, don't have to rely on old faith. They believe now!
C. Always trust God has your best interest in mind at any given moment.
2. Faith is reality
A. Jesus said, "take no thought (or don't worry) for tomorrow."
B. Tomorrow is NOT our reality, our ultimate reality is faith in God.
C. Always see life (successes or tragedies) through your trust in God.
3. Faith is the 'reason for' and 'residue of' miracles.
A. Jesus said, "who can change one hair through worry?"
B. He was teaching worry doesn't produce change, but faith does produce change.
*Some of us have seen God do miracles based on His grace and our faith.
*But what we miss it that, faith doesn't just produce miracles, faith produces MORE faith.
*When God gives you one miracle, you can trust Christ for other miracles.
C. Always trust God, whether God gives miracles or faith. Trust God today.
