There are steps to restore a relationship with God. Here are several:

1). Believe the Lord Jesus Christ has done all that was needed for you to enjoy a relationship with the Father.
2). Accept Christ as your Lord and Savior
3). Repent or turn from ungodly belief systems and behaviors
4). Be Baptized in water just as the New Christians were baptized.
4). Call on the Lord in worship and prayer
5). Receive Christ's Spirit
6). Connect as often as possible with other strong Christians who exhibit integrity and insight.
7). Continue your devotions of prayer, praise, study and other devotions.
8). Invest yourself into a local church assembly. Serve God by serving others.
9). Help lead others into a relationship with Christ by sharing your story of God's grace with them.
10). Plan to succeed in God; and if you fall, rather than wallow in the failure, thank God for His victory. Then rise and keep growing forward.
